Ellis lost to Trego back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Railroaders came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Railroaders as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Ellis won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26.

Leah Reed paced Ellis' offense, picking up nine kills. Reed got some help from Taylor Kohl and her 21 assists.

Ellis' win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Trego, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Ellis will be playing in front of their home fans against Victoria at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trego has already played their next contest (against Phillipsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
