Bosque is 0-3 against East Mountain since April of 2025 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will face off against the Timberwolves at 3:00 p.m. Bosque has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bosque lost 13-2 to New Mexico Military Institute on Saturday.
Bosque saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Carranza, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, East Mountain waltzed into their contest on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They were the clear victors by a 20-6 margin over the Sundevils. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Ty Rector, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Birdwell, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
East Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sandia Prep only posted an OBP of .385.
Bosque's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for East Mountain, their record is now 16-1.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bosque has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .483. However, it's not like East Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .528. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bosque might still be hurting after the 17-3 loss they got from East Mountain in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
