Georgetown Day had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it eight. They came up short against the Potomac School Panthers, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 on Tuesday.
Georgetown Day saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Altschuler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Altschuler has brought in this season.
As for Potomac School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Potomac School's side, Gavin Speigel tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. What's more, Speigel posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Wyatt Overman was a standout: he fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-5. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Ian Parrish was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
