The Carney-Nadeau Wolves can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Central 71-22 at home. The victory was nothing new for Carney-Nadeau as they're now sitting on three straight.
Carney-Nadeau's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariska Laurila, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Laurila has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Maule, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds.
Carney-Nadeau pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for North Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carney-Nadeau will take on Forest Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Iron Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
