The Beulah Miners will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Wahpeton Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Beulah suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Shiloh Christian 70-43. While losing is never fun, Beulah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Shiloh Christian is ranked 14th).
Meanwhile, Wahpeton came up short against Breckenridge on Saturday and fell 54-44.
Scout Woods put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 18 points. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Halle Miller, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Beulah dropped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Wahpeton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
