1A District 4 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Logan Wilson of LaSalle ran for the longest rushing play in 1A District 4 this season against Northwood last week. Wilson scampered for 64 yards on the play and finished with 77 on the day as his team beat the Gators.
Thanks to the talents of Cole Hendrix and Demarcus Smith LaSalle has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Hendrix leads the league in passing with 941 yards, while Smith has rushed for 655 yards this season. Montgomery's Tyrell Foster leads the league in receiving yards with 286 on 10 catches.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when St. Mary takes on Block. The Tigers have allowed 159 points this season, while the Bears have given up 142.
Derek White's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on Northwood. Hendrix threw for 126 yards and one touchdown and ran for 108 yards in the win.
