The Northbrook Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Northside Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Northbrook and three for Northside.
Last Saturday, Northbrook had to suffer through a rough 66-23 loss at the hands of Dekaney.
Meanwhile, Northside fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Chavez on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Lobos 60-54.
Despite the defeat, Northside got a solid performance out of keith Wilson, who scored 31 points. The game was Wilson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Solomon Cenac, who scored 7 points along with 5 blocks.
The losses dropped Northbrook to 2-7 and Dekaney to 3-6.
Everything went Northbrook's way against Northside in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as Northbrook made off with a 59-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northbrook since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
