In what's become a running theme this season, the Cathedral Phantoms gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on Dymally with a sharp 56-36 win. The win was some much needed relief for Cathedral as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Several Challengers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gerald Coland, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds. Coland has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nyzear Hamby, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds.
Cathedral's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Dymally, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Cathedral will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. Varsity Opponent is hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses. As for Dymally, they will square off against Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
