It was a perfect seven days for teams in the Academy Top 10, going a collective 17-0 and offering no reason to adjust the order from last week.
The placid nature of the rankings is about to be upset, however. At least half of the Top 10 will play nationally ranked opponents in the next two weeks.
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and
Christ School (Arden, N.C.) will battle for the same tournament title at the Chick-fil-A Classic in Columbia, S.C., next week.
Read on for a complete look at this week's rankings.
Academy Top 10 National Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard1. (No. 1 last week) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) (9-0) *In an otherwise uneventful week for Findlay Prep, a big thanks to assistant coach Todd Simon for passing along this incredible stat: The Pilots are 53-0 at home under head coach Michael Peck. Findlay's next big test of note comes Dec. 29 against La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.) at the Mike Miller Classic in South Dakota.

2. (2) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) (15-0)Behind 22 points from North Carolina State-bound guard
Tyler Lewis, the Warriors overcame a halftime deficit Saturday to beat Grace Prep (Arlington, Texas) 68-59 at the National High School Hoops Festival. Grace Prep is No. 8 in this week's
Xcellent 25 National High School Basketball Rankings. Oak Hill begins a brutal stretch Thursday against Xcellent 25 No. 3 Miller Grove (Lithonia, Ga.) before heading to Columbia, S.C., for the Chick-fil-A Classic.
3. (3) Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) (5-0)The Mustangs have won each of their five contests this season by more than 40 points. The schedule stiffens this week as Montrose takes on top-ranked high school team Marcus (Flower Mound, Texas) en route to the Iolani Classic in Hawaii. Don't be surprised if the highly anticipated showdown with Marcus is played in the 30s as both teams know how to get it done on the defensive end.
4. (4) Huntington Prep (W.Va.) (8-1) *No denying that Huntington Prep is incredibly talented and has cranked out some quality wins over the past couple of years. But do the Express have what it takes to break into the upper crust of elite teams nationally? The next two weeks should provide the answer as they take on Xcellent 25 No. 4 Simeon (Chicago) in North Carolina, a contest originally scheduled to be played at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium before NCAA rules forced a change of venue. Powerhouse Ohio programs Taft (Cincinnati) and Northland (Columbus) follow Dec. 22-23 at the Ironton Classic.
5. (5) Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville, Fla.) (5-0)After blasting Florida Christian Institute (Cape Coral) 100-64 over the weekend, the Apaches will head to the Carolinas for three games. La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.) and Body of Christ Christian (Raleigh, N.C.) stand in the way Friday and Saturday before heading to the Chick-fil-A Classic for a showcase game against Lexington (S.C.).
6. (6) Montverde Academy (Fla.) (5-0)After taking care of business through five games, Montverde Academy is about to hit the holiday tournament circuit hard. Up first is the City of Palms Classic, where head coach Kevin Boyle's squad opens at 10 p.m. Friday night against unbeaten Salesian (Richmond, Calif.). After attempting to navigate the brutal field in Fort Myers, the Eagles head to Ocala for the Kingdom of the Sun Tournament following Christmas. North Clayton (College Park, Ga.) is the opening-round opponent there.
7. (7) Christ School (Arden, N.C.) (8-0)Big efforts by posts
Will Weeks and
Shannon Hale helped the Greenies stay perfect following a weekend run through Nashville, Tenn. Weeks averaged 15 points and 13.5 rebounds in wins over Music City foes Montgomery Bell Academy and Ensworth, while Hale – a 6-foot-8 Alabama recruit – added 18.5 points per contest. Christ School is also headed to the Chick-fil-A Classic, opening against Word of God (Raleigh, N.C.) on Dec. 20.
8. (8) St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.) (3-0)The Gray Bees started and closed strong in an 80-56 win over Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, Pa.) last week, outscoring the Keystone State opponent 45-22 in the first and fourth quarters. Future Miami Hurricane
Melvin Johnson led the way with 23 points.
9. (9) Friends' Central (Wynnewoode, Pa.) (4-0)Central is limiting opponents to just 33.7 points per game through four contests. The Friends League school will participate in the Signature Series beginning Monday as part of the City of Palms Classic, taking on Tilton School (N.H.) and either Urspringschule of Germany or Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Wilbraham, Mass.) in the second game.
10. (NR) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) (7-1)The Lakers bounced back from a loss to No. 2 Oak Hill Academy with a 78-61 win Saturday over the post-graduate team at St. John's Northwestern Military (Delafield, Wis.), a talented squad that features 2011 Arkansas signee and Top 100 talent Aaron Ross. Purdue signee
Raphael Davis led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds while future Indiana Hoosier
Hanner Perea added 15 and nine.
