There's no place like home for Fairfax, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Woodson Cavaliers on Monday. That three run margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Avery Adler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

Fairfax's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Woodson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Fairfax nor Woodson have any future games scheduled.
