After two games on the road, Fallston is heading back home. They will take on Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Fallston didn't have too much breathing room in their game against C. Milton Wright, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory. Given Fallston's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while C. Milton Wright is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ayla Galloway continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 21 points, 16 rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Bolesta Brooke was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Patterson Mill came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Urbana.
Fallston pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Patterson Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
Fallston came out on top in a nail-biter against Patterson Mill when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 36-34. Does Fallston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Patterson Mill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
