The Millard Eagles struggled with assists on Thursday (the Kanab Cowboys had 19 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Millard was outmatched by Kanab on the road and fell 79-34. Millard has not had much luck with Kanab recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Millard's loss came despite strong showings from Kyra Moat and Shayda Carter. Moat scored nine points along with four steals, while Carter scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season.
Kanab's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Cutler led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Houston, who scored 17 points.
Millard has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Kanab, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-2.
Millard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kanab also has no future games currently scheduled.
