 On Apex Friendship's side, they got a great performance from  Luke Hemric as he  struck out 11 batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (and only one walk). Hemric has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  JJ Vondette was a standout: he scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Braden Bloom was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Green Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Apex Friendship,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-5.
 Green Hope will head out on the road to  square off against  Apex Friendship at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Apex Friendship, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Cardinal Gibbons at 4:00  p.m. Apex Friendship is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
