Elk Grove got themselves on the board against Franklin on Saturday, but Franklin never followed suit. They blew past the Yellowjackets 28-0. The Thundering Herd not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 21, 2024 (when they won 39-6).

Elk Grove has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points this season. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Elk Grove will square off against Natomas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will welcome Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
