After a string of six wins, the Tri-Valley Scotties's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maysville. Tri-Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Maysville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Alex Bobb continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Maysville, scoring 31 points along with two steals. Bobb is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gator Nichols, who scored 17 points.
Tri-Valley's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for Maysville, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
Tri-Valley will head out on the road to face off against West Muskingum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tri-Valley is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Ohio (they are ranked 91st, while West Muskingum is ranked 582nd). As for Maysville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield Union at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Maysville is ranked 92nd).
