The Cigarroa Toros lost against the Palmview Lobos back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cigarroa took a serious blow against Palmview, falling 69-39. While losing is never fun, Cigarroa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 567th, while Palmview is ranked 209th).
Palmview was led to victory by Mia Rojas and Jocelyn Rojas. Rojas scored 22 points along with three steals, while Rojas scored 23 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Rojas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nicole Flores, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Cigarroa's defeat dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Palmview, they pushed their record up to 30-6 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home.
Cigarroa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palmview also has no future games currently scheduled.
