Murray is 6-1 against Park City since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Murray Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Park City Miners at 5:30 p.m. Murray has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 655 points over their last ten matches.
Murray posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They put the hurt on Tooele with a sharp 69-48 win. Given Murray's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Tooele is ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Quinton Christman was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Beh, who scored 13 points along with five steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Park City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 75-67 to Stansbury. Even though they lost, Park City's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cameron Wilson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Duke Gordon, who scored 18 points.
Murray is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Park City, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Murray hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 64.4 points per game. However, it's not like Park City struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 50.1 points per game. The only thing between Murray and another offensive beatdown is Park City. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Murray strolled past Park City in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 75-61. Does Murray have another victory up their sleeve, or will Park City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
