The Timberline Blazers won against the Yelm Tornados last Monday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Timberline walked away with a 67-59 victory over Yelm. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Timberline's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaydn Ward, who scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ward has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrell Gipson, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Timberline is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Yelm, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Timberline will head out on the road to face off against Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yelm, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peninsula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peninsula is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
