Eldorado has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eldorado scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Cristo Rey St. Viator 79-14 at home. The win was just what Eldorado needed coming off of a 69-32 defeat in their prior contest.
Eldorado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robert "RJ" Waddell led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six assists and five steals. Waddell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamarion Durant, who scored 19 points along with five steals.
Mater Academy East Las Vegas never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against the Pirates last Tuesday. They breezed by the Pirates on the road to the tune of 81-43. Mater Academy East Las Vegas has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 28 points or more this season.
Eldorado's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Eldorado was taken down by the Knights 81-23 in their previous meeting back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Eldorado was down 45-12.
