The Goretti Gael will head out on the road to face off against the Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Georgetown Prep took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Goretti, who comes in off a win.
Even though Peddie scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, Goretti still came out on top. Goretti took their game against Peddie 80-67. The win was all the more spectacular given Goretti's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in Maryland, while Peddie is ranked sixth in New Jersey).
Meanwhile, Georgetown Prep came up short against Sidwell Friends on Wednesday and fell 52-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Georgetown Prep has scored all season.
The victory got Goretti back to even at 5-5. As for Georgetown Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
