Caroline Sattler made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Alexa Smith was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Isabella Spagnuolo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

McMahon's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Ridgefield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. McMahon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Ridgefield struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
McMahon might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from Ridgefield in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Senators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
