A feisty cat fight will be fought as Sebastopol Bobcats take on J.Z. George Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Sebastopol and J.Z. George will really light up the scoreboard.
On Monday, Sebastopol made easy work of Clarkdale and carried off a 15-8 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Savannah Crout made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Marlee Smith and Cyrish Magculang did most of the damage at the plate: Smith scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Magculang scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Magculang a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hanna Boleware, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one stolen base.
Sebastopol kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, J.Z. George came into Monday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Leake Central on Monday by a score of 15-14 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
J.Z. George got a massive performance out of Jaycee Ellett, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Tysalyn Meeks, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-4.
Sebastopol's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for J.Z. George, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sebastopol has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like J.Z. George struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Sebastopol took their win against J.Z. George in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1. Does Sebastopol have another victory up their sleeve, or will J.Z. George turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
