Basketball Recap: Kailani Mccloud's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Anderson Homeschool over Fort Wayne Homeschool

Anderson HomeSchool lost against Fort Wayne HomeSchool back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Anderson HomeSchool SONS fell 75-68 to the Fort Wayne HomeSchool Hawks. While losing is never fun, the SONS can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Hawks are ranked 83rd).

Several SONS players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kailani McCloud, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. McCloud has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Bennett Long was another key player, going 9 of 22 on his way to 22 points.

Fort Wayne HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevon Maley led the charge by shooting 7-for-13 from deep and dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. What's more, Maley also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Krawczyk, who went 7 for 13 en route to 20 points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Anderson HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 11-9. As for Fort Wayne HomeSchool, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Anderson HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-33 win against Fort Wayne GUARD HomeSchool on the 25th. As for Fort Wayne HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-43 victory against Mishawaka HomeSchool W on the 23rd.
