With a playoff game on the line, the Aledo Bearcats rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on Shoemaker with a sharp 27-6 win. Aledo's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Aledo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hauss Hejny out in front who rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns. Hawk Patrick-Daniels was another key contributor, rushing for 137 yards and a touchdown.
Aledo's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34 points. As for Shoemaker, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Aledo will head out on the road to face off against Lubbock-Cooper at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Lubbock-Cooper is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Shoemaker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
