Meanwhile, Milan came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with an 18-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kayleigh McIntosh made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. McIntosh was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Milan got a massive performance out of Kynadee Bode, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those two triples gave Bode a new career-high. Mallory Eaglin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Milan's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Brownstown Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
