On Saturday, The Trinity Episcopal Titans faced the Benedictine Cadets in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Trinity Episcopal claimed a resounding 36-7 win over Benedictine on the road. The result was nothing new for Trinity Episcopal, who have now won four games by 29 points or more so far this season.
Trinity Episcopal's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davion "fatrat" Brown, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Grant, who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
The win was the third in a row for Trinity Episcopal, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. Even more impressive is the teams they beat to make that streak: Benedictine, Woodberry Forest, and St. Christopher's. As for Benedictine, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Episcopal will take on Flint Hill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Flint Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Benedictine, they will be playing at home against St. Christopher's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Christopher's will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Benedictine is ranked first).
