Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Sunrise Mountain Miners, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a decisive 49-31 margin on Tuesday. Sunrise Mountain's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vic Plotnikov, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Brogan Church, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Centennial, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Sunrise Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centennial also has no future games currently scheduled.
