The Ingomar Falcons will be playing at home against the Bruce Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ingomar will be looking to keep their 27-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Ingomar stacked a 21st blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to New Albany for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-17 victory at home. With Ingomar ahead 53-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Macie Phifer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylen Grisham, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Bruce didn't have too much trouble with Water Valley at home on Tuesday as they won 50-32. Bruce pushed the score to 42-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Water Valley cut but never quite recovered from.
A'toria Knox was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bruce's points. Another player making a difference was Laken Corbitt, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Ingomar is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. As for Bruce, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Ingomar have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bruce struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.3 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Ingomar against Bruce when the teams last played last Tuesday as the squad secured a 66-25 victory. Does Ingomar have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bruce turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
