Sutherland will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Paxton at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Sutherland had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 22-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Loup.
Meanwhile, Paxton couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 22-58 to Brady. Paxton were down by 22-44 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
