Fans got a thrill when Nick Rourke and Greg Spearman connected against Minster. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in Northwest Central this season.
Cameron Smith of Ridgemont ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Ridgedale last week. Smith's team lost to the Rockets as he sprinted for 57 yards on the play and finished with 121 in all.
Lehman Catholic's dynamic duo of Rourke and Spearman proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rourke threw for 460 yards and 4 touchdowns and Spearman had 171 yards receiving. Andrew Westerheide helped Lehman Catholic's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 86 yards.
The Cavaliers' dynamic duo of Rourke and Spearman proved to be unstoppable against Minster, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Delaunte Thornton was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 144 yards as Fort Loramie bested Geron Stokes' team. Teammate Tyler Kazmaier added to the ground attack by rushing for 26 yards.
He went 29-44 with 2 interceptions.
Spearman was the best receiver in Northwest Central this week as Richard Roll's team topped the Wildcats.
Rourke put up the best numbers in passing as the Cavaliers topped Minster.
Lehman Catholic's Rourke and Westerheide have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Rourke has thrown for 627 yards this season, while Westerheide has 16 catches for 193 yards. Cole Crawford from Upper Scioto Valley leads the league in rushing with 281 yards.
The Cavaliers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Lehman Catholic beat the Wildcats 33-18 earlier in the week.
