Even though The Habersham School Patriots have not done well against the Islands Sharks recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Habersham School enjoyed a cozy 47-28 win over Islands. This was payback for The Habersham School, who suffered a 60-47 loss the last time these two teams met.
The Habersham School can attribute much of their success to Anna Cadle, who scored 7 points along with 9 steals. Cadle is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Hampton, who scored 6 points along with 5 steals.
The Habersham School now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Islands, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Habersham School won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Faith Baptist Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 5th. Faith Baptist Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so The Habersham School's offense will have their work cut out for The Habersham School. As for Islands, they will head out on the road to face off against Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
