The White River Valley Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 51-39 to Springs Valley. White River Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Springs Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springs Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deion Edwards, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Edwards hasn't dropped below 16 points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Konner Chase, who scored 13 points.
White River Valley has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Springs Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
White River Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-29 victory vs. Washington Catholic on the 10th. Springs Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against South Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
