Softball Recap: Vallivue Has No Trouble Against Columbia

Vallivue won the last time they faced Columbia and things went their way on Friday too. Vallivue was the clear victor by a 19-3 margin over Columbia. Considering the Falcons have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Bella Magallon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Evonny Gonzales, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Vallivue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Vallivue pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Columbia, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
