The Campbell County Camels will venture away from home to challenge the Highlands Bluebirds at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbell County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Monday, Campbell County got the win against Lloyd Memorial by a conclusive 15-2. Considering the Camels have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Addysen Griffin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Griffin was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Josie Feebeck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and five RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.5 RBI per game. Another player making a difference was Moriah Price, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Campbell County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lloyd Memorial only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Highlands, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Scott by a score of 4-1 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bluebirds in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Kaitlyn Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Highlands' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Payton Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Bailee Class also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Campbell County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Highlands, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
Campbell County came up short against Highlands when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can Campbell County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
