Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oshkosh North). Their defense stepped up to hand the Seymour Thunder an 8-0 shutout on Saturday. It was an even better day for Alex Asende as he scored three goals for his team.

Oshkosh North pushed their record up to 4-3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Seymour, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.

Oshkosh North didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Whitnall on the 20th. As for Seymour, they have also already played their next match, an 8-1 loss against Beloit Memorial on the 20th.
