After three games on the road, Tri-Central is heading back home. The Tri-Central Trojans and the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tri-Central will be strutting in after a win while Alexandria-Monroe will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Tri-Central has not done well against Madison-Grant recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Tri-Central walked away with a 72-64 victory over Madison-Grant. Given Tri-Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Madison-Grant is ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tri-Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drake Ramseyer, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Grant, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Alexandria-Monroe unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 64-34 defeat at the hands of Wapahani. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alexandria-Monroe has scored all season.
Tri-Central pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
