After three games on the road, Beaver Dam is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Sandy Valley Sidewinders at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Beaver Dam was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain View Christian, taking the game 46-33.
Meanwhile, Sandy Valley entered their tilt with Word of Life Christian Academy with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Sandy Valley came out on top against Word of Life Christian Academy by a score of 65-54 on Wednesday. Sandy Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sandy Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tage Colon, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Damion Turner, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Beaver Dam pushed their record up to 5-11 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Sandy Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Beaver Dam was taken down by Sandy Valley 74-37 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Beaver Dam was down 49-26.
