On Wednesday, Nyack lost to Ardsley at home by a decisive 63-45 margin. While losing is never fun, Nyack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Ardsley is ranked 28th).
Ardsley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Tierney, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Joie S levy, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Nyack dropped their record down to 7-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Ardsley, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Nyack will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pearl River at 6:30 p.m. Ardsley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pelham Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th.
