Belpre came out on top against Alexander on Tuesday thanks in part to Chris Copen's efforts. Copen was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Belpre is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-10 otherwise.
