The South Rowan Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Rowan. South Rowan has struggled against the Mustangs recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kynlee Dextraze, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Atwell, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
South Rowan's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for East Rowan, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Rowan will play host again and welcome the Spiders, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Rowan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Cabarrus will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
