Braxon Linville Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is North Andrew's Braxon Linville, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Linville rushed for 236 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
North Andrew's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cardinals faces off against Pattonsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chase Cline and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Chase Cline was instrumental in extending Albany's winning streak to eight on Friday. Cline rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Albany's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Cline and Albany will welcome King City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Decker Heyde Delivers Best Performance of Season
Stanberry came up short on Friday despite Decker Heyde delivering his best game to date. Heyde made 13 total tackles.
Heyde and Stanberry will venture away from home to take on St. Joseph Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs had to take a loss when they last met the Lions, but Heyde had little to do with the loss: he made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss). Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Albany picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kyle Emerson. Emerson did his part (and then some), picking up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries for the 'W'. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended three passes.
Emerson might have his next game, a road matchup with King City, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Emerson saw the Wildkats), he picked up 88 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Worth County/Northeast Nodaway Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Landon Wilmes
Landon Wilmes's big game helped extend Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's winning streak to four on Friday. Wilmes wasn't messing around, rushing for 98 yards and three touchdowns. The matchup was his sixth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
For the year, Wilmes has run in 21 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 77.63 rushing yards per game.
