The Wilburton Diggers lost a heartbreaker to the Talihina Golden Tigers when they met back in January of 2021, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. Wilburton fell 43-36 to Talihina. Wilburton has not had much luck with Talihina recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Talihina got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Lloyd out in front who scored 10 points. Ramses Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Wilburton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Talihina, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Wilburton will be playing in front of their home fans against Wister at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Talihina, they will head out on the road to face off against Pocola at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
