Having struggled with four losses in a row, Doniphan-Trumbull turned things around against Gibbon on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 56-36 margin over the Buffaloes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cardinals have posted since February 1, 2024.

Doniphan-Trumbull can attribute much of their success to Logan Rainforth, who posted 23 points, and Charlee Richter, who put up 17 points. The match was Richter's third in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Central City entered their tilt with Schuyler on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They breezed by the Warriors to the tune of 58-19. With the Bison ahead 38-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Central City's win came from a few key players Doniphan-Trumbull will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Reagan Fousek, who went 7 of 10 en route to 15 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Journi Schindler, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Central City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
Central City's win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.7 points per game. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, their victory bumped their record up to 2-16.
Doniphan-Trumbull took a serious blow against Central City in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 49-17. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Doniphan-Trumbull was down 34-3.
