The Alturas Prep Pumas won the last time they faced the Taylor's Crossing Eagles, and things went their way on Thursday too. Alturas Prep came out on top against Taylor's Crossing by a score of 48-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Alturas Prep.
Kiearon Marshall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. Marshall is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Simon Karroum, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Alturas Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Taylor's Crossing, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alturas Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Butte County at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Butte County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Alturas Prep likes a good challenge. As for Taylor's Crossing, they will head out on the road to take on Grace Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
