Heritage Academy Gateway pushed the score to 45-24 by the end of the third, a deficit BASIS - Peoria had little chance of recovering from.
Heritage Academy Gateway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bowen Gallup, who scored eight points along with six steals. Gallup hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Brock Akin, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Heritage Academy Gateway and bumps their season record up to 12-4. As for BASIS - Peoria, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
