The Marsing Huskies will face off against the Parma Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Marsing's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Melba with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Huskies have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Levi Puga made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
In other batting news, Marsing let Luke Steinmeyer and Teagan Kinney run wild. Steinmeyer scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Kinney went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Steinmeyer also brought in three RBI, which is notable because Marsing is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 3-4 otherwise. Dresden Wood was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Marsing kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Melba only managed seven hits.
Parma not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3, 2024. They blew past Vision 11-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Samuel Hultman made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 5.1 innings pitched. Hultman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Ethan Obenchain was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Silas Kling, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Marsing is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Parma, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Parma's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Marsing hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Parma, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Marsing's hitters?
Marsing took their victory against Parma in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-4 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
