The Crane Medical Cougars pushed their score all the way to 68 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 75-68 to Chicago Marshall. Crane Medical lost against Chicago Marshall in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 63-40 score last time.
Crane Medical's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brad Blackman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dontea King, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Crane Medical's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Chicago Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Crane Medical will be playing in front of their home fans against Raby at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Raby is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Chicago Marshall, they will head out on the road to face off against Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
