The Holy Cross Crusaders had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crosby. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Among those leading the charge was Daniel Melendez, who scored 25 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Curtis Ellis, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Holy Cross' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1. As for Crosby, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Holy Cross will be home for the holidays to greet Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crosby, they will head out on the road to face off against Derby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
