Hill Freedman World Academy and the Overbrook Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly Hill Freedman World Academy had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 67-29 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Hill Freedman World Academy's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Overbrook was led to victory by Nasir Kelly and Omar Davis. Kelly scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Davis scored 20 points along with three steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last three games he's played. Shafir Hall was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Hill Freedman World Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5. As for Overbrook, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Hill Freedman World Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Overbrook, they will head out on the road to face off against West Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Overbrook has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
