Jacari Barnett Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Elbert County's Jacari Barnett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Barnett rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (106.4). His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 130 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Reid Giles continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He made four total tackles. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 64 yards.
Rabun County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Giles and Rabun County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Athens Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Jamari Welch Delivers Electric Performance Vs Providence Christian Academy
Jamari Welch's big game helped extend Athens Academy's winning streak to eight on Friday. Welch was unstoppable, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown, while also catching a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 97-yard run.
Unfortunately for Providence Christian Academy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Welch. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Welch saw the Storm), he rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
